April 17 2010 -- A Leeufontein, Pretoria construction-supply company owner, Mrs Suna Steenberg is fighting for her life in hospital after being shot twice execution-style while trying to save her mother-in-law from a gang in police uniforms on their heavily-fortified Leeufontein smallholding, writes Graeme Hosken, The Star’s Crime Reporter. Steenberg, who runs “Montana Poles and Lapas” with her husband, Jurie, was shot twice in the head when she opened fire on the gunmen who were attacking her mother-in-law, "Tannie Poppie”. (A lapa is a South African garden enclosure for barbeques).
